Athletic contains carefully selected chicken by-product meal as the main source of
protein. Athletic also contains whole dried egg, which is the most digestible source
of protein available. The primary sources of starch are rice and wheat. Rice is one
of the most digestible sources of starch, and contributes to the excellent digestibility
of this product. A major portion of the fiber in Athletic is from beet pulp, which
aids in the production of short chain fatty acids in the gut. Short chain fatty acids
are important in maintaining a healthy digestive tract, and help improve stool quality.
High quality poultry fat is added to the food as a source of energy, and as a source
of essential fatty acids important for shiny hair and good skin condition. No artificial
flavorings, coloring agents or preservatives are added to this product. Athletic
