Professional Formula Adult Active dog Food is a super premium dog food with the highest
digestibility and palatability. It is designed to meet the nutritional needs of the
active, adult dog. Adult Active provides a moderate level of protein and calories
for the adult dog, with chicken by-product meal as its first ingredient. The primary
source of starch is rice, corn, and wheat. Rice is one of the most digestible sources
of starch, and contributes to the excellent digestibility of this product. A major
portion of the fiber in this product is from beet pulp, which aids in the production
of short chain fatty acids in the gut. Short chain fatty acids are important in maintaining
a healthy digestive tract, and help improve stool quality. High quality poultry fat
is added to the food as a source of energy, and as a source of essential fatty acids
important for shiny hair and good skin condition. No artificial flavorings, coloring
agents or preservatives are added to this product. Adult Active contains extra vitamin
E and vitamin C for added health benefits, especially in times of stress. There is
no need to supplement Professional Adult Active with additional vitamins- the vitamins
are in the bag.
