FEEDING DIRECTIONS:
Feed as the sole ration to broiler chicks (e.g. heavy breeds) from hatching to eight
weeks of age or market. They may then be fed Buckeye 18% Miracle-Starter Crumbles.
Chicks of the lighter breed (e.g. Leghorns) may also be started on Buckeye 21% Broiler
Starter Crumbles for the first five weeks of age for an added boost before changing
to Buckeye 18% Miracle Starter - Grower Crumbles. Have clean, fresh water available
for the chicks at all times. Keep the birds in a clean, well-ventilated dry environment,
which is free of drafts. At eight weeks of age broilers should weigh between 6 and
7 pounds. This will require about 15 lb of Buckeye 21% Broiler Starter - Finisher
Crumbles per bird. These values for the rate of gain and the amount of feed required
to obtain these weights are very dependent on the strain of birds, environment, general
health and condition of the birds.
If a nonmedicated starter is desired, feed Buckeye 18% Miracle Starter - Grower,
but be aware of problems associated with feeding a lower protein diet to birds of
the heavy breeds..
