FEEDING DIRECTIONS:

Place seed in a bird feeder, preferably close to some trees or natural cover. Some may be scattered on the ground close to the feeder for ground feeding birds. When the birds become accustomed to the feeder as a source of food, maintain bird feed in the feeder at all times. Keep your bird feeder clean to prevent the spread of disease. Continue to feed the birds throughout the year, particularly in the spring when newly hatched birds are beginning to feed. Many of the naturally occurring seeds and fruits have not ripened or matured this early in the spring, and the birds appreciate a constant source of food. A bird bath may be provided close to the feeder during the appropriate weather. It should be kept clean and the water changed regularly.
